I am a New York City-based fine art photographer working in abstract compositions. My journey to photography was a winding one, starting with a BFA from the Goodman Theater School of Drama in Chicago. then, after years on the road as an actor and making commercials, I transitioned to working with and representing illustrators. Then a visit to the Soho Photo Gallery in New York changed everything. Seeing tr smith's winning photograph from the Krappy Kamera Competition was an "ah ha" moment. I knew I wanted to do this.
With tr's encouragement I began to study photography at The International Center of Photography and am particularly indebted to Christopher Giglio' class, The Grammar of Photography, a program that I consider my graduate work in photography.
Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally in group shows at the 1650 Gallery, Jadite Gallery, Hobart Gallery, The Pleiades Gallery, Viridian Artists, Praxis Gallery, PhotoPlace, Hudson Guild, Grey Cube and the B&W Athens Photography International Exhibition in Athens (2023)
